Essaouira to Casablanca Atlantic Route
Coastal pottery towns, oyster lagoons, and Portuguese forts — the Atlantic side of Morocco most visitors miss
About This Trip
Two days along Morocco's underrated Atlantic coast. From the windswept ramparts of Essaouira, head north through the ceramics capital of Safi, then settle into Oualidia — a sleepy lagoon town famous for oysters and golden sand. Day two continues through the Portuguese-era fortress city of El Jadida before reaching Casablanca.
This isn't the Morocco of desert dunes and mountain passes. It's salt air, fishing boats, and towns that haven't been on a tour bus route yet.
